Children's Services

Children’s Services encompasses four program areas, including Early Intervention (Birth to 3), Integrated Preschool Program ( Ages 3-5), School Age Program ( Ages 6-16) and LEEP- Lake Employment Experience Program ( Ages 16-22). Our goal is to develop academic skills to each student’s capacity, strengthen independence, increase life skills competency and enhance communication and social-emotional skills, including physical education, swimming, home economics, therapy services, technology training and art expression.   • Evidence based Early Intervention Services are provided in natural environments with teaming and coaching in everyday routines, activities and opportunities to empower parents/caregivers to enhance their child’s learning and development. Early Intervention Brochure
  • Integrated Preschool Program with an Ohio Department of Education , Step UP to Quality 5 Star Tiered Quality Rating, provides a 50:50 ratio of typically developing students as peer models for preschoolers with disabilities. Integrated Preschool Brochure
  • School Age offers a modified, functional Ohio Department of Education Extended Academic Content Standards Curriculum with emphasis on academic, communication and social-emotional growth through an Individual Education Plan for optimal learning and development.
  • LEEP-Lake Employment Experience Program provides a modified functional curriculum and pre-vocational training to enhance school to work transition, according to the Employment First Initiative, in order to promote  opportunities for inclusion in the integrated community setting to live and work.
