County Board Provider Trainings are open to Lake County Providers of Waiver and ICF services, as well as those who are seeking certification through the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities to serve individuals in Lake County.
A County Board Provider Support Coordinator may verify your status as a Provider in Lake County once you have registered for training. The Provider Support Training Calendar is updated quarterly.
Registration is required. Walk-ins are not permitted.
Medication Administration Certification Courses
The Lake County Board has partnered with The Academy of Professional Development to provide Medication Administration Courses to Provider partners serving individuals in Lake County, Ohio.
Below is a list of dates and courses for 2026.
- January 27 & 28 Medication Administration / Category 1 Initial from 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- February 24 Medication Administration / Category 1 Renewal from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- March 24 & 25 Medication Administration / Category 1 Initial from 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- April 14 Medication Administration / Category 1 Renewal from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- May 27 & 28 Medication Administration / Category 1 Initial from 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- June 30 Medication Administration / Category 1 Renewal from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- July 29 & 30 Medication Administration / Category 1 Initial from 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- August 11 Medication Administration / Category 1 Renewal from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- September 22 Medication Administration / Category 1 Renewal from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- October 22 & 23 Medication Administration / Category 1 Initial from 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- November 10 Medication Administration / Category 1 Renewal from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- December 3 Medication Administration / Category 1 Renewal from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Additional Training Available (please fill out the registration form below):
- CPR/First Aid ($25)– for those seeking certification as an Independent Provider or in need of a renewal to stay current or newly hired Provider agency staff in need of a renewal to stay current as designated by agency employer.
- Classes for CPR/First Aid take place 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
- Dates for 2026 classes: January 14, February 11, March 11, April 22, May 20, June 24, July 15, August 12, September 9, October 14, November 18, and December 16. Class dates also shown on the 2026 CPR/First Aid date summary flyer.
- Up to Monthly Training Sessions in topics identified to help meet the 6 hour Annual Training Criteria (FREE) — for those who are certified Independent Providers or those who are employed by a certified Agency Provider who are in need of training that counts. towards the 6 hours of annual training. These training sessions will be announced as they are scheduled.
