County Board Provider Training is open to providers of waiver, ICF and/or supported living services that are currently serving individuals in Lake County or those seeking certification through DODD as a provider to serve individuals in Lake County.
The LCBDD Provider Support Training Calendar is released quarterly.
Registration is required. Walk-ins are not permitted.
Training currently available includes:
- CPR/First Aid ($17)– for those seeking certification as an independent provider or in need of a renewal to stay current or newly hired provider agency staff/agency staff in need of a renewal to stay current as designated by agency employer
- Initial Eight Hour Training (FREE) – for those seeking certification as an independent provider or newly hired provider agency staff as designated by agency employer.
- Annual Training (FREE) – for current independent providers and agency staff as designated by agency employer. Annual training content meets the requirements as outlined in the Provider Certification Rule. Additional training may be required depending on service certifications.
At this time, there are no scheduled training sessions. Provider Training will resume when sessions can be safely offered within the guidelines and restrictions due to COVID-19.

Agency Employers – a manager or supervisor must register staff members to attend training to ensure that management is aware that the staff person is attending and that any necessary scheduling arrangements can be made by the agency.
Your training registration will be confirmed. Details about the training session registered for (including payment information for CPR/First Aid) will be sent out via email no later than 1 week prior to the training session.
