Join us for our next Youth Empowerment Group meeting. Topics that may be covered include self-advocacy, independence, effective communication, and community participation. Participants must be Lake County students ages 14-22 years who are eligible for LCBDD services. Are you a Guardian appointed by the Probate Court? If yes, you are required to obtain at least 3 hours of continuing education credits each year. We’re here to help! The Lake County Board of DD/Deepwood is Host Site for these classes and will present the courses as offered through the Ohio Supreme Court. The Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities/Deepwood, in collaboration with Treasurer Michael Zuren and Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, is hosting a Job and Resource Fair.

Join us at the Developmental Disabilities Job & Resource Fair / Hiring Event that takes place October 15, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Mentor Public Schools (Paradigm) located at 6465 Center Street, Mentor, Ohio 44060.

This is a FREE event that is open to the public.

Meet with representatives from local businesses and organizations, with the potential for onsite interviews. If you are a job seeker requesting an onsite interview, you must register (registration opens October 3 and will close once all interview slots are filled).

Empower Sports is having an Open House event, hosted by the County Board, on October 23, 2025 from 5:00—6:00 PM at the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities / Deepwood's Recreation Site located at 8121 Deepwood Boulevard in Mentor, Ohio. Aktion Club is a community service organization for adults with disabilities dedicated to making a positive impact in Lake County.
