You are invited to attend the Fall Festival! Participants must be Lake County students ages 14-22 years who are eligible for LCBDD services. Join us on September 21, 2026 from 10 - 11:30 AM at the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities in Mentor, Ohio! Adventurers will experience a demonstration of the unique Supported Decision Making (SDM) Role-Playing Game, Dungeons & Dragons & Decisions. Learn how to play the game, spend time playing through a storyline in small groups, and then come back together to discuss how to apply the strategies used in the game to real-life decision-making. Advocacy Series Empowerment Through Connection presents "Public Transportation Skills with LakeTran" on September 23, 2026 from 4:30 - 5:30 PM at the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities in Mentor, Ohio. This educational opportunity is designed for individuals, transition-aged and older, who receive services through the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities to build confidence and independence by teaching practical public transportation skills. Mark your calendar for our next Lake County Advocacy Meeting on September 29, 2026 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. We will talk about library services and will learn about available programs and resources, take-home materials, and information on obtaining a library card. The meeting will be held at the Mentor Public Library located at 8215 Mentor Avenue in Mentor, Ohio. Aktion Club is a community service organization for adults with disabilities dedicated to making a positive impact in Lake County. This organization meets monthly and offers benefits of friendship, fellowship, fun, but most importantly extends the opportunity to collaborate on a variety of projects that help our community.
