The Lake County Board is partnering with Service for Independent Living (SIL) for a youth empowerment group. Topics that may be covered include self advocacy, independence, effective communication, and community participation. Participants must be Lake County students ages 14-22 years who are eligible for LCBDD services.
This year marked the 10th year that the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities/Deepwood has held Deepwood Idol as a community event that is open to anyone eligible for services through the LCBDD/Deepwood (over the age of 10 years) as a fun and friendly annual talent competition that was inspired by the American Idol TV show.
