The Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities' Employment Navigation team is excited to announce a new collaboration--Workforce Connection! Our mission is to connect inclusive employers with the professionals, organizations, and advocates who support job seekers with developmental disabilities. We strive to build partnerships that create meaningful, sustainable employment opportunities for all. We will be hosting meetings from 8:30-9:30 AM, with open networking taking place from 9:30-10:00 AM on May 6, August 5, and November 25, 2026. Meetings will be held at the Lake County Board of DD/Deepwood (Building C), located at 8121 Deepwood Boulevard in Mentor, Ohio. If you cannot attend in person you can join remotely via Zoom. Join us for our next Youth Empowerment Group meeting. Topics that may be covered include self-advocacy, independence, effective communication, and community participation. Participants must be Lake County students ages 14-22 years who are eligible for LCBDD services. Event takes place 5:30 - 6:30 PM at the Lake County Board of DD/Deepwood - Building C (VGC), 8121 Deepwood Blvd, Mentor, OH 44060. Questions/register by emailing Transition.Services@LakeBDD.org.
