The Lake County Board is partnering with Service for Independent Living (SIL) for a youth empowerment group. Topics that may be covered include self advocacy, independence, effective communication, and community participation. Participants must be Lake County students ages 14-22 years who are eligible for LCBDD services.

Learn and share with other employers about inclusive hiring and employment practices and the value of employing individuals with disabilities. The Business Advisory Council and the Lake County Employment Network will collaborate regarding qualified job seekers and local employment opportunities. Deepwood Idol is ready to Rock the Amp at the Mentor CityFest 2023! The main event will take place on August 19 from 1:00 - 2:30 PM and will be part of the Mentor CityFest celebrations. Thank you for everyone who auditioned and to Perry High School for hosting the auditions at their Goodwin Theater.

Family Forum is scheduled for August 23, 2023 from 4 - 6:00 PM. Join us to learn more about County Board Recreation Services, Lake County Special Olympics, and Lake County Advocacy Council. The event is open to all individuals (and their family/care givers) who are eligible to receive county board services.
