Annual Guardianship Training Classes for June 2024

Are you a Guardian appointed by the Probate Court? If yes, you are required to obtain at least 3 hours of continuing education credits each year. We’re here to help! The Lake County Board of DD/Deepwood is now a Host Site for these classes and will present the courses as offered through the Ohio Supreme Court. Topic for June 2024: Advocacy and Conflict Resolution. You can select from three courses to examine some common scenarios to demonstrate concrete steps guardians can take to advocate and resolve conflicts for their wards. Deepwood Idol is ready to Rock the Amp at the Mentor CityFest 2024 ... are you getting ready to audition?
We are searching for individuals eligible for services through the County Board over the age of 13 years who would like to showcase their talents! Whether your talent is singing, dancing, comedy, playing an instrument, magic tricks, or something else we hope you decide to participate in this amazing experience!
Auditions will be held in June.
The main event will take place in the afternoon on August 17 (exact time to be announced shortly) and will be part of the Mentor CityFest celebrations.

We secured the front cover (Jaxson) and an inside article about Early Intervention Services featuring Teddy (photo alongside his brother Alex and article content from mom Jamie) on page 3. Our hope is to increase awareness about the importance and process for early intervention services.

We are also thrilled that Ian Carter attended the meeting alongside County Board representatives, his family, and his friends. He spoke about his activities and interests in demonstration of how the County Board and community supports and services have enriched his life.
