Tailored Approaches with Early Intervention Fosters Growth for Arthur and Hugh
It’s such a joy when families share how Early Intervention (EI) enriches their lives and empowers young children. As a provider to the Ohio Statewide EI System, the focus of EI is to assist a family in meeting the unique needs of their child. Family-focused resources and supports are provided in naturally occurring learning environments, routinely at a child’s home.
Kathryn, parent to twins Arthur and Hugh, shared with us how EI services made a positive impact …
“Arthur and Hugh began Early Intervention through Help Me Grow a little over a year ago, and we are incredibly grateful for the support we have received.
Like most twins, they are very different, so we appreciated how their development plans were tailored to their individual interests while setting meaningful, attainable goals. Arthur loves animals, while Hugh is a car enthusiast, and Development Specialist Ms. Krystie thoughtfully incorporated those interests into their learning.
Her guidance also helped us connect as a family by showing us how to apply what we learned during everyday activities, from outdoor play to mealtimes. Our favorite part has been watching the boys learn to communicate and grow together.”
