We Hope to See You at Hero Day on July 31

We are excited to invite you to our annual Community Hero Day, which takes place on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Broadmoor School, 8090 Broadmoor Road, Mentor, Ohio 44060.

Our goal is that this event will facilitate positive non-crisis interactions between first responders and individuals, with the expectation that these relationships will lead to stronger communication, trust, and better outcomes during crisis.

This event will bring together local fire departments, law enforcement, and individuals served by Lake County Board of DD/Deepwood in a fun, educational, and interactive setting. Featuring emergency vehicles such as fire trucks and police cars, along with hands-on activities, you will learn more about the important work our local heroes do! We will also have lunch available.
