We Hope to See You at Hero Day on July 31

We are excited to invite you to our annual Community Hero Day, which takes place on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Broadmoor School, 8090 Broadmoor Road, Mentor, Ohio 44060.

We are hosting an event to facilitate positive connections in times of non-crisis with the expectation that it will lead to better outcomes in the event of turmoil or an emergency situation. Anyone eligible for county board services and their families/guardians are invited.

You will be able to interact with local fire departments, law enforcement, crisis agencies, and other community partners in a fun, educational, and interactive experience. We envision fire trucks, police cars, information tables, and interactive displays. Attendees will also have the opportunity to socialize and have some fun playing outdoor games, participating in activities, and enjoying the cookout that we have planned.

Should you like more information or would like to RSVP, please email Heather.Neibecker@LakeBDD.org or call 440-350-5219.

This information is also included on the event flyer. To see highlights of last year’s Hero Day event, check out the Hero Day 2025 photo album on our Facebook page.
