Health & Welfare Alert: Recognizing and Responding to Medical Emergencies
The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities recently released an important Health & Welfare Alert: Recognizing and Responding to Medical Emergencies #51-02-26. You can always visit the Ohio DODD website to review various Health & Welfare Alerts at your convenience.
This alert provides critical information to caregivers about recognizing and responding to medical emergencies to keep the people healthy and safe. You can help prevent serious health problems when you notice small changes early. One of the best ways to do this is by knowing what is typical for a person so that you can quickly spot when something is different.
Health and safety are primary considerations for our County Board. We provide Emergency Intervention 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, and are required to immediately report Major Unusual Incidents (MUIs) and ensure proper notifications have been made in addition to safeguarding health and safety.
