Early Intervention Tools and Techniques Combined with Care and Compassion Help Noah Grow
We enjoy when families share with us how Early Intervention (EI) enriches their lives and empowers young children. Every story reminds us why these support matter.
As a provider within the Ohio Statewide EI System, our mission is simple but powerful: to walk alongside families as they discover their child’s unique abilities, hopes, and needs. We support parents right where life happens—during playtime on the living‑room floor, at the kitchen table, or in the quiet moments when families wonder what tomorrow might bring.

“Noah has been receiving early intervention services for almost a year. He was diagnosed six months old with a rare genetic condition called Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC), along with epilepsy. Because of his diagnosis, our family qualified for Help Me Grow right away.
It wasn’t until Noah turned one that we truly began to see how important early intervention would be for him. During a visit with his developmental specialist, we started to notice delays—particularly in his speech and overall development.
With TSC, there is so much more than epilepsy. Noah has tubers—growths that are similar to tumors, but typically benign—that can develop on vital organs throughout the body. For Noah, these tubers are present on his brain, kidneys, and even his skin. Because of the growths on his brain, we know they are currently contributing to his speech and developmental delays.
TSC can also bring a range of neurological challenges, known as TAND (TSC-Associated Neuropsychiatric Disorders). These can include autism, ADHD, sleep difficulties, behavioral challenges, and intellectual differences. For Noah, we don’t yet know exactly what his journey will look like, but we are committed to facing whatever comes, head-on. And through it all, Noah continues to show up with the biggest smile and the happiest spirit.
We have truly loved every part of our experience with Help Me Grow. Gabby Kramer has become so much more than a provider—she has become part of our family. She has taken the time to fully understand Noah’s diagnosis and has supported us in every way she possibly can.
Gabby provides private speech therapy for Noah and has given us so many tools and techniques to practice at home—not just for us as parents, but also for his older siblings, so they can be part of his progress too. She has guided us through managing sensory needs, navigating behavioral challenges related to TAND, and even helped us find a new speech therapy provider when ours transitioned.
Gabby has also supported us in ways that go far beyond her role—checking in after major medical events, helping us secure a safety bed for Noah due to his seizures, and always showing up with genuine care and compassion. She has never treated this like “just a job”—she has truly walked alongside us through it all. Thank you, Ms. Gabby. We are forever grateful.“
Noah’s story is a beautiful reminder of what’s possible when families, children, and EI professionals, and County Board supports work together. To learn more about EI services or Broadmoor School programs, please visit www.lakebdd.org/childrens-services/.
