Fire at Mentor Group Home

We commend the efforts of New Avenues to Independence (NAI) staff in the heroic effort to safely evacuate the three gentlemen living at the Heisley House. Throughout the day, the dedicated, collaborative and expedient efforts of landlord North Coast Community Homes (NCCH), provider NAI Administration and staff, LCBDD Administration and Service and Support staff, and the outpouring of generosity from our Lake County community, together succeeded in securing and preparing another home for the gentlemen to move into that very same evening. Our Lake County partners and community are truly exceptional in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities!
