Volunteer services enrich the lives of the individuals we serve and foster community awareness regarding developmental disabilities. We’ve seen firsthand how volunteer participation in activities can have a positive impact on individuals with developmental disabilities, our staff, our community and the volunteers themselves.
No matter your age or interest, we are sure to have an opportunity for you to get involved—and we are open to hearing new ideas!
Volunteer opportunities exist for those who wish to have a consistent schedule and for those who cannot make a routine commitment. A variety of choices are available to match volunteers and individuals with development disabilities in a variety of fun and enriching activities, whether in a group or one-on-one setting, such as:
- Crafting & painting
- Playing a sport
- Dancing & singing
- Visiting therapy dogs
- Book club
- Recreational outings
- Special Olympics
- Broadmoor School activities
- Special events
