Join us for a fun evening of dancing and friendship at the Footloose Friday Dance Boot Scootin' Summer Bash on August 1, 2025 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Lake Metroparks Painesville Township Park, 1025 Hardy Road, Painesville, Ohio 44077. Admission is FREE. Refreshments and drinks will be available. Participants must be at least 18 years old and eligible to receive county board services. RSVP required. Join us for our next Youth Empowerment Group meeting. Topics that may be covered include self-advocacy, independence, effective communication, and community participation. Participants must be Lake County students ages 14-22 years who are eligible for LCBDD services. Event takes place 5:30 - 6:30 PM at the Lake County Board of DD/Deepwood - Building C (VGC), 8121 Deepwood Blvd, Mentor, OH 44060. Questions/register by emailing Transition.Services@LakeBDD.org.

Deepwood Idol is evolving to celebrate a wide array of talents beyond singing. Participants have the opportunity to show off their skills in dancing, comedy, magic tricks, playing musical instruments, and more. This exciting change aims to highlight the diverse abilities of individuals with developmental disabilities, providing them with a platform to Strive to Thrive in 2025! Deepwood Idol 2025 will take place on August 16, 2025 on stage at the Mentor Amphitheater, located at 8600 Munson Road in Mentor, Ohio during Mentor Cityfest. Contestants begin performing at 1:15 PM.
