Since Governor DeWine’s March 17th Executive Order required the LCBDD/Deepwood to close our Broadmoor School facility, Broadmoor Administration and Staff diligently continued to provide exceptionally creative and innovative virtual instruction for all Broadmoor students through the end of the 2019/2020 school year.

We applaud the extraordinary efforts and dedication of our Broadmoor Team!

Throughout these challenging and unprecedented times, and while we eagerly awaited guidance from Governor DeWine and ODE regarding future status of educational programs, the LCBDD/Deepwood and Broadmoor Administration have been actively developing multiple contingency plans and scenarios for the 2020/2021 school year.

Following the July 2nd issuance of Governor DeWine’s and ODE’s “Reset and Restart Education” guidelines, our Administration feels confident that we have developed safe and healthful plans to open Broadmoor School to all students five days per week.

In accordance with our previously adopted Broadmoor School calendar, all school-age students may return on Aug.18th and pre-school students may return on Aug.20th.

In the next days, Broadmoor Administrators will be contacting each family personally to discuss the plans for each student’s return.

Welcome back, Broadmoor Students and Staff!!!

Elfie Roman,

Superintendent

The Lake County Board of DD/Deepwood
