Early Intervention Lays Good Foundation for Ross
Ross recently turned three years old and started preschool after aging out of Broadmoor School’s Early Intervention Program. He likes animals, trucks/cars, camping, and being outside. He loves to make people laugh and enjoys nothing more than a good book. So far, he seems to be enjoying himself in preschool and is doing well!
Let’s hear from his mother Courtney about Ross’s journey and how EI can lay a good foundation for succeeding in preschool.
“The whole EI team has been wonderful to work with. Ross and I have been working with many of the EI team members since a little before he turned one year old. The Service Coordinator from Crossroads Health/Ohio Early Intervention Mary Ludwig, Occupational Therapist Kathy Donoho, Physical Therapist Jill Faber, Speech Therapist Yvonne Harrold, and others have assisted our family in so many ways throughout this process.”
“We have learned so much and we are grateful. Ross has gained so many skills and we couldn’t be happier about his progress so far. He is so proud of himself when he accomplishes new things and we are so eager to continue watching him grow and continue to succeed. While he goes to preschool, we plan on continuing to work with him utilizing tools and strategies that EI has helped teach us. Thank you so much!”
We’re so happy that Ross and the Burkhammer family are seeing results from being in the Early Intervention Program! Learn more about the LCBDD’s Broadmoor School Programs by visiting https://lakebdd.org/childrens-services/.
