Request for Sealed Proposals: ARC & JCDC Fire Door Replacement Project

Sealed Bids for the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities (LCBDD)/Deepwood ARC & JCDC Fire Door Replacement Project will be received by the LCBDD’s Director of Operations until 10:00 AM, Eastern Daylight Savings Time, Friday, October 15, 2021 at the LCBDD Administration Building, 8121 Deepwood Blvd, Mentor, Ohio 44060.

All Bids will be opened and read publicly and recorded immediately thereafter.  The LCBDD may choose to not award the Bid until thirty (30) days after the Bid opening. The work for which Bids are invited consists of the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment required for the removal and replacement of 269 fire doors at 8121 Deepwood Blvd., Buildings A-2 and B, Mentor, Ohio. The work must be completed by December 31, 2021.  Agency’s Estimate of Cost: $200,000.

Proposals should be addressed to Director of Operations, Lake County Board of DD, 8121 Deepwood Blvd, Mentor, OH 44060, and be clearly marked as Bid for ARC & JCDC FIRE DOOR REPLACEMENT PROJECT.

Paper copies of the Contract Documents, including copies of Drawings, Project Manual, Proposal Form, Forms of Contract and Bond will be available for no cost after 10:00 AM on Monday October 4, 2021, at the Lake County Board of DD Administration Building, 8121 Deepwood Blvd, Mentor, Ohio 44060. An electronic copy of Contract Documents can be obtained by emailing beki.schreiber@lakebdd.org.

A Pre-bid meeting will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 8, 2021, at the LCBDD Administration Building, 8121 Deepwood Blvd., Mentor, Ohio 44060.

Each Bid shall contain the full name and addresses of each person or company interested in the Bid and shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in bond form shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide such surety. 

The LCBDD reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bidding process and to enter into a contract with the Bidder whom, in its opinion, offers the lowest responsive and responsible Bid. 

Each Bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against based on race, color, creed, religion, sex, national origin, military status, disability, age, or ancestry.
