Speech and Language Pathologists Advocate for Children and their Families
It’s such a joy when families share how Early Intervention (EI) enriches their lives and empowers young children. As a Provider to the Ohio Statewide EI System, the focus of EI is to assist a family in meeting the unique needs of their child. Family-focused resources and supports are provided in naturally occurring learning environments, routinely at a child’s home.
Read below to hear from Katie, Wyatt’s mom, about how EI and Speech / Language Therapy makes a difference for their family…
“Wyatt is our second child to go through Early Intervention services. We cannot say enough great things about utilizing the services provided to us through the state!
Wyatt needed speech and physical therapy services. His primary provider (Speech-language Pathologist Pallavi Byler) went above and beyond to help us get Wyatt everything he needed to succeed. She helped advocate for things to help him like physical therapy and other state funded programs to help his development. We are now starting the process for Preschool and she has helped prepare us with that transition and helped answer all of our questions.
Everyone we have worked with using Early Intervention services has been extremely helpful and truly caring for our child. They will do everything they can to give them the best future and tools to succeed.”
