Health & Welfare Alert: Information to Caregivers About Human Trafficking
The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities recently released an important Health & Welfare Alert: Critical Information to Caregivers About Human Trafficking #71-1-26. You can always visit the Ohio DODD website to review various Health & Welfare Alerts at your convenience.
As an advocate for people with developmental disabilities, it is important that we know what human trafficking is to prevent, identify, and report it. Since people with disabilities are especially vulnerable, we can help provide needed support.
Health and safety are primary considerations for our County Board. We provide Emergency Intervention 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, and are required to immediately report Major Unusual Incidents (MUIs) and ensure proper notifications have been made in addition to safeguarding health and safety.
