Contest for Lake County High School Students
March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month and the Lake County Board of DD/Deepwood is again holding its annual essay / video contest, which is only open to all students who attend High School in Lake County, Ohio. This year, the contest theme is ‘Opening Doors In 2024.’
Each student has the opportunity to enter one essay or video, reflecting on the following:
Opening one door, providing one opportunity, can change the course of someone’s life. Share your perspective on ways you and/or our community have helped open a door to enrich the life of someone with a developmental disability and/or an idea we can put in motion to do so.
The winning essay will receive $200 in an Amazon gift card and the runner-up will receive a $100 Amazon gift card. Prizes are generously donated by Deepwood Foundation.
Deadline: All submissions must be received by the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities / Deepwood on/before March 31, 2024.
