Our hope is to increase awareness about the importance and process for early intervention services.

We are honored that the Lake County Commissioners proclaimed March as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month at their meeting on March 7. We are also thrilled that Ian Carter attended the meeting alongside County Board representatives, his family, and his friends. He spoke about his activities and interests in demonstration of how the County Board and community supports and services have enriched his life.
March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month and the Lake County Board of DD/Deepwood is again holding its annual Essay Contest, which is only open to students who attend High School in Lake County, Ohio. This year, the contest theme is 'Opening Doors In 2024.'

Individuals who receive services from the Lake County Board of DD at Private Provoder Deepwood Industries' Willoughby Branch Program will be performing in a play based off of the popular book "We Are All Different, Yet The Same" -- a Twinkl Original -- on March 20, 2024. This is a free event open to the public and will take place at Andrews Osborne Academy Performing Arts, located at 38588 Mentor Avenue in Willoughby, Ohio.
