EI Services Help Build Communication Skills

We’re here for families who need support to ensure their child is on the path to success.

Early intervention services support parents and caregivers in their efforts to enhance the development of their infant or toddler who has a developmental delay or disability. With support from early intervention, families can enhance their child’s learning and development through skill building techniques. Services may include physical, cognitive, communication, emotional, and/or self-help.

Let’s hear from Megan Greene about the benefits of early intervention services for her adorable two-year-old daughter, Arianna.

“We love to read new children’s books and play at the park. Arianna isn’t talking yet, so I decided to look into Early Intervention services. We have been doing sessions with Vicky, a Developmental Specialist at the Lake County Board of DD/Deepwood, for a few months now. Arianna has shown great improvement from the suggestions and activities that Vicky has shared with us. I am very grateful for these services and look forward to more in the future.”

We’re thrilled that Arianna is seeing results! Learn more about the LCBDD’s Early Intervention Program by visiting https://lakebdd.org/early-intervention-program/.
