Governor Dewine and OOD Announce 2025 Webinar Series on Disability Inclusion

Governor Mike DeWine and Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) Director Kevin L. Miller announced the launch of OOD’s 2025 webinar series aimed at promoting inclusion and accessibility for people with disabilities in communities and workplaces. The series will feature monthly webinars covering topics such as accessible communication, sensory inclusion, and creating disability-inclusive workplaces.

All webinars will be held via Microsoft Teams and are free to attend, with recordings available for future viewing. Participants can earn professional development credits.

“This year’s webinar series is another step forward in our ongoing efforts to promote inclusion and empower all people to reach their full potential,” DeWine said. Director Miller emphasized the value for employers, noting that three sessions will specifically focus on equipping businesses with tools to foster disability-inclusive workplaces. The initiative builds on DeWine’s commitment to making Ohio a leader in accessibility, including his executive order establishing Ohio as a Disability Inclusion State and Model Employer. OOD continues to support employers through programs like Accessible Ohio and the Inclusive Employer Toolkit, while also recognizing businesses with the Governor’s Inclusive Employer Award.
