Our Agency is searching for an Assistant Investigative Agent (Part-time).

Essential Job Duties:
- Records and tracks incoming potential Major Unusual Incidents (MUIs) in our internal database.
- Screens Incident Reports for unreported MUIs.
- Completes monthly reviews of closed MUIs to gather statistical data and create graphs, charts, and tables for MUI trends and patterns.
- Assists Investigative Agents (IAs) with the MUI investigative processes as defined in Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) Rule 5123-17-02 and the Lake County Board of DD/Deepwood (LCBDD) Policy A-10.
- Assesses referrals of potential MUIs according to the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) rules.
- Files MUIs electronically with the State of Ohio Incident Tracking and Monitoring System (OITMS) and ensures appropriate immediate actions have been taken.
- Conducts, analyzes, completes, and submits assigned MUI investigations into OITMS within specified timeframes.
- Provides any required summaries of findings in accordance with OAC Rule 5123-17-02 and LCBDD Board Policy A-10.
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university or at least junior year standing achieved at an accredited college or university or successfully completed Ohio Peace Officer basic training or a comparable program that prepares a person to be a Peace Officer or a Law Enforcement Officer.
- Meets Investigative Agent requirements as set forth by DODD rule. Valid state of Ohio Driver’s License and availability of a personal automobile for conducting investigations.
- Successfully completed two (2) years full-time (or part-time equivalent) supervised, paid work experience in either of the following areas: conducting administrative, civil, protective service or criminal investigations; or working with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
