Our Agency is searching for an Autism Specialist – Substitute Position.

Essential Job Duties (not all inclusive):

  • Develops and writes programs and methodology (to include charting and documentation procedures) as required to implement an Individual Plan (IP) and update as needed in conjunction with the IP Team.
  • Implements specific habilitation programs including charting procedures as assigned in the IP (including self care, mobility, activities of daily living).
  • Participates in in-service training programs as appropriate and adheres to DODD Rules and Regulations, Board of Adult Service policies and/or provides quality services for individuals.
  • Counsel individuals on a daily, weekly, or as needed basis to discuss behavioral and other pertinent information as needed.
  • Provide managed care, support and an appropriate environment for consumers in the areas of daily living skills, leisure, recreation and integration into the community.
  • Ensure individualized care, behavioral intervention and attention to individuals with ASD, using methods of applied behavioral analysis, as well as TEACCH methods.
  • Collaborates with professionals and parents for the purpose of improving the quality of life for individuals served.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following disciplines: Special Education, Education, Speech Therapy, Psychology, Occupational Therapy
  • Possess or be eligible for Adult Services Certification from the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities
  • Board Certified in Behavior Analysis and/or TEACCH trained preferred
  • Valid state of Ohio driver’s license

 Hours & Job Location: 

  • As needed (hours may vary); Hours of Operation Monday – Friday 8AM – 4PM
